Main Street Steamboat and FM Light & Sons Present the 13th Annual Chili Challenge Located adjacent to the Farmers Market on Yampa Street Saturday September 9, 2017. Come down and Sample Chili from Steamboats finest establishments and citizens. Sampler kits are $10 and proceeds benefit Main Street Steamboat and fund our Christmas activities like Light up the Night, Santa’s Study and more. Challenge Awards are also given for the Best Salsa and Cornbread so get in on that sampling too! Listen to music provided by Trevor G Potter and Walt and the ‘ol 37 followed by Worried Men while you stroll thru the market with your ice cold adult beverage. Don’t miss the fun and your chance to vote for your favorite.

The Steamboat Smokehouse entry is Matt’s Red Brisket Chili ad Kyle’s Roasted Pablano Pork Green Chili
Salt & Lime is entering Chef Chad Whitaker’s Smokey Colorado Chili, a hearty Mexican Style Brisket Chili with a smoky twist and a Roasted Tomatillo Style Salsa
Steamboat Brau Haus entry is All My EX’s Live in Texas a RED Chili and the famous Braa House Cornbread.
Scratch is entering GangSTA Red Chili and Cannon Bread cornbread
The Cantina is entering it’s Famous Pork Green Chili and House Salsa
Dude and Dan’s entry is always a contender for People’s Choice with Dude’s Smoked Brisket Red Chili and Dan’s Pulled Pork Green Chili. This year they will also enter their Olathe Corn Salsa.
The Steamboat Cattle Women’s entry is Champion Red Chili as the Cattle Women have won the People’s Choice award more than any other group.
Mahogany Ridge is entering their famous Colorado Bison Red Chili
The Tap House is entering Cuban Pork Green Chili
Carl’s is entering their delicious Pork Green Chili
